Thin film, water dispersed intumescent coatings for structural steel based on our MIPS technology

PD50 is an evaluation programme not a formulation.

MIPS is a solid integrated intumescent compound made as a water dispersion.

The aim of the programme is to:

• find suitable latex resin systems to produce water based intumescent formulations using dispersed wet MIPS
• avoid the complexity and black art of conventional Ammonium Polyphosphate based intumescents

The guideline formulations will be published under the upcoming commercialisation programme  of the MIPS and PRP technology.
